Mileage Log+ Trip Log Tracker App Reviews

Tried several mileage apps. This is the best.

Ive tried several different mileage and odometer apps. This app really has the flexibility to make things as simple or as complex as you need them. For instance: Ive got my trip to the post office saved as a frequent trip, so with a couple of taps, I can enter that trip. Also, it uses driving direction functionality to automatically look up driving distances for a trip if you didnt keep up with it on your cars trip odometer. Great export features as well... Allows you to email yourself a spreadsheet of your total miles. Highly recommended!

Makes it harder to track mileage

Doesnt track or figure out you star or end points. Dose nothing at you cant do in the notes app. Even if this app was free I wouldnt recommend it. I feel ripped off.

Outstanding.

Very happy with the app. About 30K miles of experience with it.

Limited capabilities.

Would be nice if this app had an option to connect to the calendar. While it does allow you to input multiple vehicles, it does not allow you to sort and display the trips for specific vehicles, or categories, or locations. The default view includes the mileage for all vehicles. Theres no option to display the total for one specific/default vehicle. Pretty spendy app for what you get.

Very helpful

Amazing app. Very professional and helpful for keeping miles organized. The only thing I would suggest is being able to separate the entries by year instead of just paid and unpaid

Aesthetically solid, but lacking a couple key features I like.

Ive been a regular user of a competitors app (Milebug) for a few years and really was looking for a fresh design overhaul with similar or better functionality. Mileage Log delivers on the former but not the latter. The design is modern and sharp. I like the colors, the UI, and I appreciate the method/terms used for inputting data — all better than what I was used to. The design gets 5 stars. However, the biggest functionality miss for me is in the export feature. In short, the options are limited. Theres no way to export to a CSV, Numbers or Excel format but rather only in PDF. Furthermore, the data isnt gathered, categorized or totaled. The user isnt able to dictate how or what to report beyond a date range or by rate-type (only after performing a search to group all like-types together). This adds way to much trouble to deliver a fully usable mileage report. Adding insult to injury is the previously mentioned PDF. First, its a PDF and the data isnt in a format you can immediately use or manipulate to manually create the totals, categories, etc. — none of which, as I said above, are included in the export. Youre left to copy and paste, reducing the app to little more than eye candy. Its actually worse than that, because the report only gives a "pretty" PDF summary of each individual trip you logged. I report mileage for work on a regular basis and each report contains multiple trips - so Im left having to add the trips and their expenses up manually after all. Needless to say, the app needs to be fleshed out quite a bit more. I regret not being able to stay with it because of the preferable design, but I need the nuts and bolts underneath the lovely façade to deliver the right function, and for now, that isnt this app.

Close, but not there.

When Im just going from one point to another, this app is great for my needs. I find it really frustrating for more than that, though. I often drive places an hour or so away and have to make stops, running several errands along the way. To add those, Id have to do a listing for one transaction from home to the first place. Then I have to create a new listing from that place to the next one, etc. until I reach my destination. If its not going to have GPS tracking, at least the ability to enter multiple stops would be great. I also havent been able to figure out how to not have last years archived, total mileage count towards the total dollar amount at the top. It has a sub listing for this years, but itd be nice if it were more prominent.

Not worth it

This application is not even remotely close to being worth the $10. I was purchasing this app as a reference from a website that said it was one of the better mileage apps. I cant imagine how bad the rest are. Do not get me wrong this is not a bad app it just requires a lot of input by hand which I was looking for something a little more automated in this day and age of GPS tracking ability. I would highly recommend you go and look for an application that has GPS tracking so youre not having to input so much information.

needs icloud sync

great app, but time to climb aboard iCloud.

Great Mileage App

Tried a few, like this one best. Seems head and shoulders above the others. My go to mileage tracking app for business miles travelled.

Great App

Use it everyday for required vehicle logs. Simply the best mileage app out there.

Great App

Best app I’ve used. I drive for a living and use this daily. Most accurate and easy to use to produce reports for tax purposes. I wish these folks would consider using their skills to make an app for my other expense reports for things other than mileage reports. Wish you had kept Gas Cubby as well. You folks get it.

Indispensable App

Ive been using this app since 2013 and I love it.

The BEST Mileage App!!!

I have tried many mileage tracking apps and Mileage Log+ is without doubt my favorite. No other app is as simple and easy to use while delivering all the features I need. Cant recommend it highly enough to anyone who needs to log trips, manage mileage reimbursements and tax expenses!!!

Great app

I use this for business mileage records. It is simple and easy to use. The reporting feature is great, exports spreadsheet and pdf. Dont waste your time on other apps.

iPhone 4s comparability issue

I have been using this app for 6 months to a year with nothing but positive things to say. It is fast and accurate. However, due to the most recent update I cannot open the app on my iPhone 4s. This is not a huge deal as I will be updating my phone in the next few weeks but I was hoping to back up everything for my own records. I would appreciate a fix to this so I do not have to start everything over when I change phones.

Doesnt work

Has worked great for years. Newest update has slowed to a crawl and constantly crashes.

Lost a year of data

Ive used this app for two years, got my mileage summary last year- worked great This year the app crashed and wont reboot or reload and I have lost my years mileage record So, I will not trust or try the app again

Disappointed

Just downloaded the app today. Went for a drive to complete some errands and get familiar with the app. I do not like having to enter so much information each time you get in the car to go somewhere. You can’t join or mark a trip as a round trip. I need a simple GPS trip log showing mileage between business & personal each month ????

Decent, but I have a few suggestions

I’ve been using the app for about 2 weeks, and I have not had the crashing problem some have mentioned recently. The app is intuitive and the UI is well thought out. In general I would say I like it, but it takes too long to enter a trip that does not use previously used address. Here are a few suggestions that would improve my overall experience… 1) Let me choose my starting or ending location as “Use my current location” and ask me for a quick name so it is saved for future use. This feature would be most helpful if I could start my record at the beginning of my trip and finish it at the end. 2) Somehow integrate with google or apple maps so that I can find a place in the other map application and then easily port that location into the app’s location list. (As the app is written now, I must spend time trying to memorize the address so I can enter it manually into the application.) 3) Allow me to use a calculator when entering values in the expense field. 4) Give me a means of entering trips from my desktop PC. I have trips I plan in advance, and it would be much faster and more convenient to enter the data using my PC and keyboard. Furthermore, if I get behind in entering my trips I would like a way to quickly get the data entered rather than spend time thumb-typing (with terrible accuracy) away at my tiny phone screen. Perhaps some of these wishes are already supported in the app, and I don’t know about them. If so, the features could be a little more prominent. Thanks.
