Mileage Log+ Trip Log Tracker App Reviews

The + is for Awesome

This app is an awesome upgrade to Trip Cubby. I love the iOS 7-compatible design and the locations feature really makes the app stand out. The first update to the app returned features that some users dinged the developer for in their reviews. Version 1.2 makes it even easier to create entries. For those of you who cant figure out how to get the round trip button to show, just tap on Calculate Distance and it will appear. (Theres no hope for users who think that an iPhone-only app should display as well on an iPad.) The developer is responsive to support requests (dont think that youre going to get support on the App Store)—go into Settings, then Support, and read the FAQ or scroll to the bottom to submit a new request.

MAJOR improvements - changing my review!

I was very unhappy with the initial release of Mileage Log+, but the developers have bent over backwards responding to customer suggestions. I have my 2 most wanted features back: The ability to enter new trips from the All Trips screen and the option to choose which fields are visible. I would like to be able to hide the Frequent Trips field, but now I’m just getting greedy… Mileage Log+ is now a great looking app that’s also efficient and a joy to use.

Best Mileage App

This is the best mileage app. I tried a lot of others first because they were cheaper, but this one is well worth the $9.99.

Please add gasoline gallons and cost to the program.

Add gasoline bought, cost and amount. Mike

Great UI, needs customized reporting

Out of all of the mileage apps I have tried, Mileage Log tops the charts. The user interface is the simple, yet not lacking in features. The only feature missing is GPS mileage tracking. You can however input addresses and it will auto calculate the distance. GPS tracking is not a make or break point for me. Here is why I only gave four stars. The export/reporting feature offers zero in-app customization. I send my mileage report to my secretary monthly via email. When you press export, you have no ability to name the file, choose which items will be exported (though you can change the items in view and only those items are exported), and the files that are sent cannot be formatted. The app sends a PDF file and a CSV file. The name of the files are always "export". The PDF file includes only 3 to 4 entries per page. The result for the average month is a 10 page print out for my secretary. If she uses the CSV file instead, everything has to be formatted before she can print it. The PDF format looks great, it just takes up too much paper. I am hoping for a future update to give some more reporting options here. Otherwise this is a great app. One further feature might be helpful. I live in Florida where there are many toll bridges. It would be helpful if each entry had a toll option that would include the toll in the total mileage cost for that entry.

Help

I like the features of this app. However I just lost three months of data. I thought I was backing it up to Dropbox. Is there a way to recover or undo my last transaction?

Best

Best app out there for this. Clean and functional

Great app

I use it everyday. Easy data input to track mileage for work. Great reporting option to generate monthly expense report.

Brilliant Update!

Ive been a long time user of Trip Cubby and was very excited to hear that they had done a major update. There is a bit of a learning curve when switching to Mileage Log as things have been radically changed. But it doesnt take long to see that they took all of the experience developing and *using* Trip Cubby and used it to greatly improve usability. Id say it takes me about a third of the time to make an entry as it did before, which is huge for an app I use every day. I cant say enough how much I appreciate all the tweaks they made to the process, especially in the area of frequent trips. Not only that, but the new UI and design are absolutely beautiful, completely moving on past the previous cubby aesthetic, and embracing the brightness and openness of iOS 7. Its a visual pleasure every time I launch the app. A fantastic experience and top notch functionality—a lesson in how to learn from previous iterations and fearlessly rebuild for a new vision. Review Update: I continue to love this app and use it every day. Couldnt recommend it more. Very pleased with the quick update for iOS 8 and support for the new iPhone screen sizes. Thanks!

Waste of money

$9.99 for this app is a rip off. I have similar apps that do more and are more informative than this for far less. Buyer beware! Hope you sleep well at night. I will NOT buy any further apps from this developer. Update: this is just a basic program. The map displayed as part the display for this app is just to lure you in. Not worth more than $0.99 if that.

Beautiful app, worth every penny!

I have been a TripCubby user for years, and ML+ is a beautiful upgrade. Easy to use, has nice and clear interface, and great organization for old data. I know there are plenty of other mileage apps out there, but this one is perfect for me, works like I think, and makes it easy to track every mile I drive. The data is easy to organize and export for reporting, as well. At $10, it is an absolute steal, and pays for itself many, many times over for anyone who does a lot of work-related driving.

Worth every penny and then some

This app, thanks to its ease of use, and ability to calculate miles driven when given addresses, has paid for itself many times over. If you log just 20 miles for reimbursement then youve made your money back! (Its more complicated if youre self-employed, but you should be keeping track and this is the best way to do it hands down.)

Functional, but...

Yes this app is functional and easy to use but not worth $9.99!! If it had GPS tracking then I would understand the price! I was looking for something easier and quicker than my current mile tracker but this lacks some needed features!

Not for those who want auto app

App works great for repeat trips. I am a landlord so it works fairly good for me. I was looking for an app to do away with manual entry, but this requires manual entry.

A piece of crap doesnt even have gas mileage

I expected, for the money, to get a full featured gas expense app that I could keep a gas record. Instead I get a limited piece of junk that is useless and I cant even get my money back. Very poorly described and hyped by reviewers. I have a feeling I know why it cost so Much for so little

Practical and Time Saving

I have been looking for an app like this. Very practical and efficient. It will be a perfect tool, and will give it a 5 Stars, if you add the ability of snapping a photo of receipts and attaching it to the report. Thanks!!!

Excellent mileage tracking app

Easy to use. Slick-looking. Customizable. What more could you ask for? Just DOWNLOAD it already!!

Doesnt always calculate miles

Hate having to do it automatically

Great APP for Ministers

Easy to use and love that it use mapping for mileage. No guess work.

Needs a little work

I have only had this app for about a week now and I am getting used to its easy to manage format. However, the maps need a lot of work. When I add my place of business in as a starting point, the map places my starting point about a mile away from actual address. I have double checked my address with google maps and the location appears correct, but this app just cant seem to get it right. Also, if you take a different route you cant change routes. I know that most people out there that will use this app will be reimbursed for their mileage, but I dont. So, I try to use the shortest route possible even if it takes more time. So a route option would be nice. Otherwise, I think this is a good app. It just needs some tweeking, and 4 months since the last update is way too long.
